DI “Never say never because limits, like fears are often just an illusion”. -Michael Jordan A magnificent sports extravaganza was organized at St Joseph’s College, Prayagraj on November 16, 2019, in which all the students from L.K.G. to class XII participated with great fervour and manifested their athletic skills with an unimpeachable finesse. The mega event commenced with the Mistress of Ceremonies Mrs. L. Gaffeny and Ms. F. D’Souza announcing the arrival of the respected dignitaries: the College Principal, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar, the Vice-Principal, Rev. Fr. Joseph Sagayanathan, the Additional Administrator Mr., Aubrey McGowan the Staff Co-ordinator, Mr Jyoti Dube and the Chief Guest for the day, Mr. Aniruddhe Mukerjee, IAS, Principal Secretary, Cottage & Village Industries & Aviation, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh and Guest of Honor, Most Rev. Fr. Dr. Raphy Manjaly, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allahabad who has juggled various ministerial roles with panache in the past. Taking God’s blessings is of paramount significance; hence a special prayer was recited in the Prayer Room, creating a reverential atmosphere. This was followed by the Lighting of the Torch and the Floral Welcome of the Guest of Honor Rev. Fr. Dr. Raphy Manjaly, and the Chief Guest Mr. Aniruddhe Mukerjee, IAS by the Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Sister Jyoti, Principal, St. Mary’s Convent, Prayagraj Mrs. Ewangeline Wilson, Principal, Mary Lucas School and College, Dr.Omar Hassan, Heart specialist, Nazareth Hospital, Justice Siddhant Verma, Judge, Allahabad High Court and Dr. Vishal Singh, Principal, Bishop Johnson School and College, also an ex-Josephite.
